There is no national registry of summer camps — the American Camp Association's directory is the closest thing, and it only covers camps that chose to list. This dataset starts from all 4,777 camps in the ACA Find a Camp directory (accredited and not — 2,301 carry current ACA accreditation) and layers on the KidsCamps and CampResource directories, merged on camp name and state, for 7,735 unique day and overnight camps across the United States and Canada. ACA-sourced records are the richest: street address, GPS coordinates, contact name, phone and email, director, operating organization, affiliation or religion, and every program with its day/overnight type, gender and, where the camp published it, age range and cost. Listings that exist only in KidsCamps or CampResource carry name, city and state, phone, website, camp type and, on CampResource, the camp's focus (sports, academic, arts, special needs) and tuition range. The sources column tells you which directories carry each camp, so you can restrict to ACA-listed camps, accredited camps, or overnight-only camps with a single filter. Buyers use this list to sell into camps (equipment, food service, insurance, software, staffing), to map youth-program density for site selection, and to prospect camp directors by email and phone. Refreshed weekly from the three directories.

All 7,735 records, as published — the complete set rather than a sample. That matters most for coverage and gap questions: put together the same list from partial searches and every location you miss reads as a gap that is not there, so the answer is wrong rather than merely late. Assembling U.S. + Canada-wide coverage by hand also means one query per area against sources that cap what they return per search.
