Every licensed cosmetology and barbering establishment in Texas — 71,198 of them — from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation's own daily extract, with the street address, phone, county, license number and expiry for each. The establishmentType column splits the file into the eight license classes Texas issues: Full Service 35,544, Mini 21,472, Nail and Skin Care 7,647, Skin Care 4,806, Nail 848, Eyelash Extension 648, Mobile 147 and Hair Weaving 86. That breakdown is the reason to buy this rather than scrape a review site: a nail-product distributor wants the 8,495 nail and combination establishments, not all 71,000. Beauty and barber distributors, POS and booking software vendors, insurers and franchise developers use it for territory planning and prospecting, and the license expiry column identifies establishments coming up for renewal.

Why 71,198 when Texas reports about 35,000 salons?
35,544 is the Full Service establishment class alone. This file is the union of all eight establishment license types, each labeled in the establishmentType column, so you can take just Full Service if that is what you want, or include the mini salons, nail-only, skin-care-only, eyelash and mobile establishments that make up the rest of the industry.
Are barbershops included?
Yes, but through the modern license classes rather than a separate barbershop file. Texas's dedicated barber-shop extract now returns no records because barbershops license as Full Service or Mini establishments, and those are in here. The legacy barber rows in the state's roll-up file carry no address at all, so including them would have added names without locations.
Is every record a business rather than an individual stylist?
Yes. These are establishment licenses, which are issued to the shop, not the operator licenses issued to individual cosmetologists and barbers. Every one of the 71,198 rows carries a business address.
