These five are the states that publish their register in a usable, address-bearing form; the others either publish counts without addresses, put the roster behind a CAPTCHA, or license only individual directors rather than establishments. So this is a nine-state file covering roughly 32% of the estimated 19,000 US funeral homes, and it is named that way rather than implying national coverage.
