The Air Conditioning Contractors of America is the HVAC trade's national association, and its member locator is the only national, self-maintained directory of HVAC contracting firms — the independents and regional operators that install and service residential and light-commercial equipment, not the manufacturer-branded dealer networks. This dataset is every company in that locator: 2,786 contractors across all 50 states, with street address, phone, website, and two accreditation flags the association itself maintains — Quality Assured (545 contractors hold ACCA's ENERGY STAR-recognized QA accreditation) and Quality Installation verification — plus program badges such as New Homes and RSI. Each record carries ACCA's stable company id, so refreshes can be diffed. Membership is opt-in, so this is the engaged, association-affiliated slice of a roughly 100,000-firm industry rather than the whole licensed universe; for a complete state-level licensee list see our state contractor license datasets. Equipment and controls manufacturers, distributors, software and financing vendors, and private-equity groups consolidating HVAC services use it to build territory lists, size dealer programs, and prospect owners. All 2,786 records, as published — the complete set rather than a sample. That matters most for coverage and gap questions: put together the same list from partial searches and every location you miss reads as a gap that is not there, so the answer is wrong rather than merely late.
