This is the complete licensed universe of HVAC contractors in Virginia, not a directory of the ones who chose to be listed: every active license the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation publishes in its public extract, reduced to one row per licensed firm or individual at an address. 4,791 records. Classifications in the file: Class C Contractor [HVA] (694), Class A Contractor [HVA] (668), Class B Contractor [HVA] (398), Class A Contractor [GFC HVA] (184). 732 licensees list an out-of-state address (contractors licensed in Virginia but based elsewhere); the state column identifies them so they are one filter to drop. Each record carries the state license number, so it joins cleanly to permit data, insurance certificates and other state files, and the expiration date, so you can target renewals. Buyers use it for distributor and manufacturer territory planning, dealer-program recruitment, insurance and financing prospecting, and roll-up sourcing in a fragmented trade.
