Texas Water Well Drillers & Pump Installers
U.S. Location Dataset // 1,189
1,189 licensed water well drillers and pump installers in Texas that publish a business address, from the state licensing extract, with phone, county, license number, class and expiry. Texas has more private water wells than any other state, and well drilling is a rural, owner-operated trade with no national directory, so the license register is the only complete list. Pump, tank, pipe and control manufacturers and their distributors use it to build dealer and rep territories; groundwater districts and environmental consultancies use it to find qualified drillers; and equipment dealers use it to target rig and service-truck buyers. The state issues 1,752 of these licenses in total, and the 563 that publish no address are excluded rather than shipped as rows you cannot use.
All 1,189 records, as published — the complete set rather than a sample. That matters most for coverage and gap questions: put together the same list from partial searches and every location you miss reads as a gap that is not there, so the answer is wrong rather than merely late. Assembling the U.S.-wide coverage by hand also means one query per area against sources that cap what they return per search.

?Frequently Asked Questions
Why 1,189 and not the 1,752 licenses Texas issues?
563 licensees file no business or mailing address with the state, so they would be a name and nothing else. We drop them rather than pad the count, which is why the record total is lower than the license total you will see quoted.
Does it separate drillers from pump installers?
Yes, in the license type and class columns. Many hold both endorsements, and the file shows which each licensee carries.
Are these companies or individuals?
Both, as the state issues them. The name column carries the business name where one is on file and the licensee otherwise, and every included row has a usable address.
