2,858 Chevrolet dealerships across the United States, taken from Chevrolet's own official locator rather than a third-party aggregator, so the set matches what the manufacturer publishes today and refreshes weekly. Separate sales, service and parts phone numbers and a fax number for each rooftop, the GM dealer code and BAC, the brands each rooftop sells (many are Chevrolet-GMC or Buick-GMC duals), and the franchise services each is authorised for. Franchised dealer networks are consolidating fast, which makes a current, complete rooftop list the starting point for territory and coverage analysis, for parts and accessory suppliers building call lists, for finance, insurance, warranty and software vendors selling into dealer groups, and for anyone tracking dealer-group roll-ups. Our count of 2,858 compares with a network of about 2,900. Every record carries the manufacturer's dealer code, so successive weekly files diff cleanly and openings and closures are visible.

All 2,858 records, as published — the complete set rather than a sample. That matters most for coverage and gap questions: put together the same list from partial searches and every location you miss reads as a gap that is not there, so the answer is wrong rather than merely late.
