All 8,234 US charter schools from the federal Common Core of Data for the 2024-25 school year, with street address, coordinates, enrollment, grade range, teacher count and district, and 97% fill on the qualifying fields. Charter schools buy differently from district schools: they are individually or network-operated rather than centrally procured, decisions sit with the school or a small management organization, and they turn over faster, opening and closing at a rate no district does. That makes a current, address-level list the practical basis for selling curriculum, furniture, technology, food service, facilities and student information systems. Enrollment is the qualifying field most buyers sort on, and it is present on nearly every record.
All 8,234 records, as published — the complete set rather than a sample. That matters most for coverage and gap questions: put together the same list from partial searches and every location you miss reads as a gap that is not there, so the answer is wrong rather than merely late. Assembling the U.S.-wide coverage by hand also means one query per area against sources that cap what they return per search.

It is the 2024-25 collection, which is the most recent the federal government has released. Education data is collected annually on a school-year cycle rather than continuously, so there is no 'this week' version of it from any source, and anyone claiming otherwise is guessing.
Is this a register or a survey?
The Common Core of Data is a federal administrative collection covering all public schools, which makes it effectively complete for charters rather than a sample. That is different from our private school dataset, which comes from a survey.
Does it include the management organizations?
It carries the district and agency each charter reports under, which identifies network-run schools in most cases. A clean charter-management-organization rollup is a custom enrichment we can quote.
