It joins six governing-body finders: USA Swimming, USA Football, AYSO, USA Lacrosse, USA Hockey and USTA. It adds the YMCA list and the Dance Studios & Schools list. Open map data adds sports facilities, clubs, gymnastics and cheer gyms, swim schools, martial arts schools and dance studios. By source: USTA 46,118, Sports Facility 39,285, Martial Arts School 34,471, Dance studio 23,334, USA Football 9,556, Club / League / Academy 9,270. When two sources list the same business at the same address, it is one row. 6,574 rows carry another source's record, and mergedFrom names it. 134,408 rows have a phone number, 69,204 an email address and 108,705 a website. We read each place's own website once for the sports it offers, its programs, the ages it serves and its size. 50,104 rows state a size: fields, courts, sheets of ice, acres, square feet or seats. level says youth, adult or both on 47,298 rows. levelBasis says how we know. ownership is filled on 67,609 rows. ownershipBasis says where it came from. No. When two sources list one place at the same address, with the same phone, the same name or a name word in common, it is one row. mergedNames and mergedFrom name every club and listing behind it, and sourceIds keeps each source's id. Two clubs at one address with nothing else in common stay two rows. ### Which rows are youth programs? level says youth, adult or both on 47,298 rows (youth 40,873, youth and adult 5,543, adult 878). levelBasis says how we know. It is a published age range, the governing body, the name or the website. ### Does it show facility size? 50,104 rows state a size. USTA gives every tennis facility's court count. For other places, fieldCount, courtCount, iceSheetCount, acres, squareFeet and seatingCapacity come from the place's own website, with the phrase that states it. ### Where does the data come from? Six governing bodies' own club and facility finders and the YMCA's own locator. Open map data from the Overture Maps Foundation adds the rest. We read each place's own website for sports, programs, ages and size. We keep no person data. ### How is this data cleaned? Every rebuild runs the same steps and counts what each one changed. For the current file, rebuilt October 16, 2026 from explore.overturemaps.org: Merged 0 duplicate listings that had the same business name, street address and ZIP code, keeping every filled-in detail from both (October 16, 2026). Unified 38 city names written more than one way within the same ZIP code (for example with and without a space or an abbreviation) to the US Census Bureau spelling (October 16, 2026). Corrected 0 misspelled city names to the US Census Bureau place name for their ZIP code (October 16, 2026). Added map coordinates to 0 listings that had none, from the US Census Bureau address geocoder or, where the street address could not be matched, the centre of the ZIP code (October 16, 2026). Set the county and its federal county code on 183,495 listings, matched to the US Census Bureau county list from the county the source records, the listing's map point, or its ZIP code area (October 16, 2026). Checked every map point against the state in its address and re-placed 12 points that fell outside that state (October 16, 2026). Flagged 21,241 addresses that are incomplete, a PO box, or missing a house number, in an address quality column (October 16, 2026).
