All 14,598 licensed electrical contracting firms in Texas, from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation's daily extract, every one with a business street address, phone, county, license number and expiry date. This covers both the electrical contractor and electrical sign contractor licenses — the firms legally allowed to pull an electrical permit in the state, as distinct from the roughly 20,000 individually licensed master electricians who work for them. Texas is the largest electrical market in the country outside California, and this is the complete licensed universe rather than the subset that joined an association or bought directory advertising. Distributors, manufacturers building rep territories, solar and EV-charging installers looking for subcontractors, staffing firms and private-equity groups rolling up electrical services all work from a list like this.

## The figures

- Records: 14,598 locations
- States: 43
- Coverage: partial U.S.: 43 states
- Fields: 24
- Price: $49 one-time, CSV download, commercial license (https://locationlists.com/license)
- File built on October 18, 2026. Rebuilt weekly on an automatic schedule.
- File last modified: 2026-10-18

The file has all 14,598 locations across 43 states in one download. Building the same list by searching one area at a time tends to miss places, and a missed place looks like a gap in coverage that is not really there.

## Questions

### Is this firms or individual electricians?

Firms. Texas licenses contracting businesses separately from individual master and journeyman electricians, and this file is the business licenses, each with the company's own address and phone. The individual licenses are a different and much larger file with no business addresses.

### How current is it?

File built on October 18, 2026. Rebuilt weekly on an automatic schedule. The date on this page is the date of the file you would download.

### Do you have other Texas trades?

Yes: tow operators and vehicle storage, water well drillers, auto parts recyclers and salon establishments, all from the same state source. Texas HVAC is the one exception — the state publishes no addresses at all for those licenses, so we do not sell it as a location dataset.

### How is this data cleaned?

Every rebuild runs the same steps and counts what each one changed. For the current file, rebuilt October 18, 2026 from tdlr.texas.gov: Merged 0 duplicate listings that had the same business name, street address and ZIP code, keeping every filled-in detail from both (October 18, 2026). Unified 110 city names written more than one way within the same ZIP code (for example with and without a space or an abbreviation) to the US Census Bureau spelling (October 18, 2026). Corrected 42 misspelled city names to the US Census Bureau place name for their ZIP code (October 18, 2026). Shortened 8,469 ZIP codes to the five-digit code every address filter expects, keeping the delivery-route segment in a column of its own (October 18, 2026). Removed the second copy of 17 street addresses that were typed twice in the same field (October 18, 2026). Added map coordinates to 14,569 listings that had none, from the US Census Bureau address geocoder or, where the street address could not be matched, the centre of the ZIP code (October 18, 2026). Set the county and its federal county code on 13,430 listings, matched to the US Census Bureau county list from the county the source records, the listing's map point, or its ZIP code area (October 18, 2026). Checked every map point against the state in its address and re-placed 0 points that fell outside that state (October 18, 2026). Flagged 163 addresses that are incomplete, a PO box, or missing a house number, in an address quality column (October 18, 2026). Checked that the row count, state count and field completeness published for this file were measured from the file itself (October 18, 2026).

### Isn't this free on tdlr.texas.gov?

The underlying records are public on tdlr.texas.gov. What you pay for is the work between that public release and this file: unified 110 city spellings, corrected 42 misspelled city names, shortened 8,469 ZIP codes, fixed 17 doubled addresses, added coordinates to 14,569 listings, added the county to 13,430 listings, flagged 163 incomplete addresses and measured 14,598 rows, and a fresh rebuild every week. The current file was rebuilt October 18, 2026 from tdlr.texas.gov. Doing it yourself means downloading the full release, repeating each of those steps, and repeating them again every time the source updates.

### How complete is each field?

Measured on every row of the current file, the share of rows that carry each key field: phone 100%, street address 100%, city 100%, state 100%, ZIP code 100%, latitude 100%, longitude 100%. 23 of 24 columns are filled on at least half the rows.
