19,322 State Farm agent offices from State Farm's own agent directory: every one of the 19,073 agent pages it publishes, one row per office (489 agents run a second office and 9 a third). State Farm sells through exclusive agents who each own their local agency and write State Farm policies only, so this is the whole captive network in one file. The offices cover every state and DC except two: State Farm does not write in Massachusetts or Rhode Island. California has the most (1,914), then Texas (1,760), Illinois (1,109), Georgia (895) and Florida (841). Every row carries the agent's name, street address, phone and State Farm's own map point; 94% carry the agent's own website, 69% a Facebook page, and every row lists the languages the office speaks and State Farm's associate id.

- `parentCompany`: The company that owns the carrier
- `name`: Agency name as the carrier's directory shows it
- `agentName`: The agent (agency owner) the directory names
- `agentType`: Exclusive (captive) agent: writes this carrier's policies only
- `locationType`: Agent office, or a satellite office of the same agent
- `address`: Street address
- `address2`: Suite or unit, where given
- `city`: City
- `state`: Two-letter state code
- `zip`: ZIP code
- `country`: Country code (US)
- `phone`: Office phone number
- `website`: The agent's page in the carrier's agent directory
- `agentWebsite`: The agent's own website, where listed
- `facebook`: The agent's Facebook page, where listed
- `latitude`: GPS latitude
- `longitude`: GPS longitude
- `associateId`: State Farm's own id for the agent (from the agent's page address)
- `officeNumber`: 1 for the agent's main office, 2 or 3 for a further office
- `officesForAgent`: How many offices the agent runs
- `officeName`: The office label State Farm shows (usually the town)
- `languages`: Languages spoken in the office, as State Farm lists them
- `geo_precision`: How the coordinates were arrived at: the carrier's own map point (source), a geocode of the street address, or the ZIP's centre
- `county`: County name
- `county_fips`: Five-digit county FIPS code
- `county_note`: Set when the ZIP code spans more than one county
- `address_quality`: complete, no_house_number, po_box, missing_city_or_zip or missing

## Questions

### Are State Farm agents independent agencies?

No. State Farm agents are exclusive (captive) agents: each owns a local agency but writes State Farm policies only. That is why this list is kept apart from our independent insurance agency list, which has every State Farm office taken out.

### Why are there no Massachusetts or Rhode Island agents?

State Farm does not sell in those two states, so its directory has no agents there. Every other state and DC is covered.

### Who owns State Farm?

State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, a mutual owned by its policyholders. The parentCompany column reads that on every row.

### Is this list in the Insurance Agency Industry Bundle?
