1,520 elevator contractor offices holding 1,701 active licences from the sixteen states whose licensing body publishes the whole licence class: Florida 407 registered elevator companies, Texas 281, California 213 (class C-11), New York 212 (132 elevator contractor and 80 elevator inspection contractor licences), Connecticut 126, North Carolina 80 (SP-EL), Massachusetts 79, Indiana 57, Oklahoma 41, Minnesota 38, Arizona 35, Washington 35, Rhode Island 32, Maine 26, Oregon 25 and Idaho 14. Each row is one office: a company licensed by several states from one address is one row, with its licences side by side in licenseNumbers, licensingStates, licenseTypes, licenseExpiries and the other license columns, entry by entry; 130 offices hold two or more licences, up to 10. One office is one row however the registers spell its address (NE or Northeast, 17th or 17, Timber Wolf or Timberwolf) or its name (Alliance Elevator Professionals and Alliance Professionals). 240 offices sit outside every state that licensed them. Oklahoma's list publishes no address: 13 Oklahoma licences joined their company's office and 28 are rows without an address. 122 rows are branches of Otis, KONE, Schindler, TK Elevator, Mitsubishi Electric or Fujitec, named in parentCompany. The segment column sorts every office by what its name and licence say: 1,192 elevator contractors, 144 inspection and consulting firms, 79 residential lift and stairlift companies, 75 parts, cab and interior firms and 30 hoist and crane firms. Florida rows add flConveyancesServiced, read from the state's register of 69,453 elevators, escalators and lifts: 224 offices hold the service contract on 60,187 units, 17,373 of them with firms that are not a maker's branch. Phone is filled on 80% of rows and a map point on 98%; the registers publish no website, so the 18% that have one come from the Overture Maps place at the same address or phone.

## The figures

- Records: 1,520 locations
- States: 43
- Coverage: partial U.S.: 43 states
- Fields: 89
- Price: $19 one-time, CSV download, commercial license (https://locationlists.com/license)
- Snapshot built on October 10, 2026. Not rebuilt on a schedule.
- File last modified: 2026-10-10

The file has all 1,520 locations across 43 states in one download. Building the same list by searching one area at a time tends to miss places, and a missed place looks like a gap in coverage that is not really there.

## Questions

### Which states are covered?

Texas, California, Florida, New York, Connecticut, North Carolina, Massachusetts, Indiana, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Arizona, Washington, Rhode Island, Maine, Oregon and Idaho: every state whose licensing body publishes all its elevator-contractor licences, as a file, an open-data table or a search by licence type. The other states that license elevator contractors offer only a name or number lookup, a login portal or no list at all. Elevator companies in those states are in the Independent Elevator, Escalator & Lift Companies list.

### How are several licences on one row laid out?

licenseNumbers, licensingStates, licenseTypes, licenseStatuses, licenseExpiries, licenseIssueDates, licensingBodies, licenseNames and licenseRegisters hold one entry per licence, separated by a semicolon and in the same order, with a dash where that state publishes nothing; licenseCount says how many. A company licensed in Texas, Florida and New York from one office reads TX; FL; NY in licensingStates and its three licence numbers in the same order.

### What does flConveyancesServiced tell me?

For each Florida office, how many of the 69,453 elevators, escalators and lifts in Florida's conveyance register name it as the service-maintenance contractor. It is a measure of each company's maintenance book in Florida: TK Elevator's Tampa office holds 3,813 units, and 17,373 units are serviced by firms that are not one of the six makers' branches.

### Why does one company appear more than once?

Each row is one office. A company with offices in several places, such as Otis or TK Elevator, has one row per office; a company licensed by several states from one office is one row. 35 company names appear on more than one row.

### Can I keep only independent companies?

Yes. parentCompany names the maker for the 122 rows that are a branch of Otis, KONE, Schindler, TK Elevator, Mitsubishi Electric or Fujitec; keep the rows where it is blank.

### Is this list in the Elevator Service Industry Bundle?

Yes. The bundle puts this list together with the Otis, KONE, Schindler, TK Elevator, Mitsubishi Electric and Fujitec office lists, the 16-state licence register list and the independents in one CSV, one row per place, with a column naming each row's source, for less than buying the lists one by one.

### How current is the data?

Snapshot built on October 10, 2026. It is a one-time snapshot and is not rebuilt on a schedule.
