12,825 US eye care locations that are not a store of one of our chain lists, not a chain we hold no list for, and not in our NPPES optometry practice list: 5,835 optometry offices, 3,865 optical stores, 1,849 eye care clinics, 1,101 ophthalmology practices and 175 LASIK centers. California has 1,785, New York 1,155, Texas 1,088. 10,376 carry a website, 7,528 a Facebook page and 4,557 an email. Multi-site operators we hold no list for are kept, with the count of locations under the same name (2,589 rows share a name with another).

## Questions

### How is it different from the optometry practice list?

It holds only places the other lists do not: the NPPES practice list covers practices with their own NPI, and this list adds optical shops, clinics and practices Overture Maps knows at an address no NPI uses. So this list and the practice list never hold the same place.

### Why are there so many columns?

Because the file keeps every field the chain's locator and store pages publish for each location, not a shortlist. A column the source fills for only a few locations is still kept, and its fill is shown beside it on this page.

### Is this list in the Eye Care Industry Bundle?

Yes. The bundle puts this list together with the other 12 chain lists, the 12,825 independent optical stores and eye care offices and the 41,513 NPPES optometry and ophthalmology practices in one CSV, tagged by member, for less than buying the lists one by one.
