22,475 rows covering the US hardware store industry in one CSV, plus Home Depot's 182 Canadian stores: the co-ops (Ace Hardware 4,903, Do it Best 3,183, True Value 1,408), the regional chains (Carter Lumber 151, Aubuchon 138), the home centers (The Home Depot 2,211, Lowe's 1,763, Menards 340), and 8,378 independent hardware stores and lumber yards that belong to none of them. The brand column comes first, so the file splits back into its nine parts in one filter. Each chain's rows keep that list's own fields, such as Ace's store code, Do it Best's member number, True Value's store finder link, and Home Depot's opening hours and the services each store offers (Pro Desk, tool and large equipment rental, Penske truck rental, showrooms). The independent rows come from Overture Maps place data with every chain and co-op location taken out, and carry website, email and Facebook page where listed. A store that belongs to two of these networks keeps one row for each, and the brandsAtLocation column names every brand at the same street address and phone: 71 Aubuchon stores are also Ace members, and 33 stores fly both the Do it Best and True Value banners (True Value is now owned by Do it Best).

## The figures

- Records: 22,475 locations
- Coverage: U.S. & Canada
- Fields: 60
- Price: $169 one-time, CSV download, commercial license (https://locationlists.com/license)
- Snapshot built on October 2, 2026. Not rebuilt on a schedule.
- File last modified: 2026-10-02

The file has all 22,475 locations in one download. Building the same list by searching one area at a time tends to miss places, and a missed place looks like a gap in coverage that is not really there.

## Questions

### What exactly is in the file?

22,475 rows, one per brand per location: Independent 8,378, Ace Hardware 4,903, Do it Best 3,183, The Home Depot 2,211, Lowe's 1,763, True Value 1,408, Menards 340, Carter Lumber 151 and Aubuchon 138. 182 rows are Home Depot stores in Canada; every other row is in the US.

### Which stores are in two networks?

The brandsAtLocation column names every bundle brand at the same street address, ZIP and phone. 111 locations carry two: 71 Aubuchon stores that are also Ace members, 33 stores with both the Do it Best and True Value banners, 3 Ace and Do it Best stores, 2 Ace and True Value stores, and 2 True Value stores that also appear among the independents. Each keeps one row per brand, so filtering on a brand returns that brand's whole network; to count stores once, keep the first row of each address and phone.

### How are the independent stores chosen?

They are hardware stores and lumber yards from Overture Maps place data with every location of these chains and co-ops taken out, along with Harbor Freight, Northern Tool, Tractor Supply, Sherwin-Williams, Grainger, Fastenal, the farm-store chains, other chains by name and any name with 25 or more locations. A place stays only when its name or website says hardware or lumber. The same rows are sold on their own as the Independent Hardware Stores & Lumber Yards list.

### What does the bundle cost compared with buying the lists one by one?

The bundle is $169: the list prices of the nine lists added together, less 10%, as one file and one purchase. There is no subscription and no per-seat license.

### How current is the data?

Snapshot built on October 2, 2026. It is a one-time snapshot and is not rebuilt on a schedule.
