This is the complete licensed universe of electrical contractors in Florida, not a directory of the ones who chose to be listed: every active license the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation publishes in its public extract, reduced to one row per licensed firm or individual at an address. 15,117 records. 11,554 hold a certified (statewide) license and 3,047 a registered (local-jurisdiction) one. 15,117 records carry a separate business name from the licensed individual. Classifications in the file: Electrical EC (10,008), Electrical ES (1,546), Electrical ER (1,261), Electrical EF (1,221). 1,924 licensees list an out-of-state address (contractors licensed in Florida but based elsewhere); the state column identifies them so they are one filter to drop. Each record carries the state license number, so it joins cleanly to permit data, insurance certificates and other state files, and the expiration date, so you can target renewals. Buyers use it for distributor and manufacturer territory planning, dealer-program recruitment, insurance and financing prospecting, and roll-up sourcing in a fragmented trade. Association lists such as our ACCA member dataset cover the engaged slice; this covers everyone the state allows to pull a permit. Refreshed weekly from the board's extract.

## The figures

- Records: 15,117 locations
- States: 49
- Coverage: U.S.
- Fields: 22
- Price: $49 one-time, CSV download, commercial license (https://locationlists.com/license)
- File built on October 18, 2026. Rebuilt weekly on an automatic schedule.
- File last modified: 2026-10-18

The file has all 15,117 locations across 49 states in one download. Building the same list by searching one area at a time tends to miss places, and a missed place looks like a gap in coverage that is not really there.

## Questions

### Is this the same as the state's license lookup?

It is the same underlying data, taken from the board's bulk public extract rather than one-at-a-time lookups, and reshaped to one row per licensed firm or individual at an address with a trade column and a certified/registered class. The lookup shows one license at a time; this is all of them in one file, refreshed weekly.

### Does every record have a phone number and a business name?

Only where the board publishes them. State boards license the qualifying individual, and many file an individual name and address rather than a company name. The name column uses the business name when one is on file and the licensee otherwise; licenseeName always carries the individual. Phone is present only for boards that publish it.

### Why are some addresses outside Florida?

Contractors can hold a Florida license while being based in another state, common near state lines and for national firms. They are real Florida licensees, so they are included, and the state column makes them a one-filter exclusion if you only want in-state locations.

### How is this data cleaned?

Every rebuild runs the same steps and counts what each one changed. For the current file, rebuilt October 18, 2026 from www2.myfloridalicense.com: Merged 0 duplicate listings that had the same business name, street address and ZIP code, keeping every filled-in detail from both (October 18, 2026). Unified 558 city names written more than one way within the same ZIP code (for example with and without a space or an abbreviation) to the US Census Bureau spelling (October 18, 2026). Corrected 72 misspelled city names to the US Census Bureau place name for their ZIP code (October 18, 2026). Shortened 445 ZIP codes to the five-digit code every address filter expects, keeping the delivery-route segment in a column of its own (October 18, 2026). Removed the second copy of 13 street addresses that were typed twice in the same field (October 18, 2026). Added map coordinates to 15,095 listings that had none, from the US Census Bureau address geocoder or, where the street address could not be matched, the centre of the ZIP code (October 18, 2026). Set the county and its federal county code on 15,095 listings, matched to the US Census Bureau county list from the county the source records, the listing's map point, or its ZIP code area (October 18, 2026). Checked every map point against the state in its address and re-placed 0 points that fell outside that state (October 18, 2026). Flagged 728 addresses that are incomplete, a PO box, or missing a house number, in an address quality column (October 18, 2026). Checked that the row count, state count and field completeness published for this file were measured from the file itself (October 18, 2026).

### Isn't this free on www2.myfloridalicense.com?

The underlying records are public on www2.myfloridalicense.com. What you pay for is the work between that public release and this file: unified 558 city spellings, corrected 72 misspelled city names, shortened 445 ZIP codes, fixed 13 doubled addresses, added coordinates to 15,095 listings, added the county to 15,095 listings, flagged 728 incomplete addresses and measured 15,117 rows, and a fresh rebuild every week. The current file was rebuilt October 18, 2026 from www2.myfloridalicense.com. Doing it yourself means downloading the full release, repeating each of those steps, and repeating them again every time the source updates.

### How complete is each field?

Measured on every row of the current file, the share of rows that carry each key field: street address 100%, city 100%, state 100%, ZIP code 100%, latitude 100%, longitude 100%. 20 of 22 columns are filled on at least half the rows.
