18,563 auto repair locations across national chains and the affiliate networks that independent shops join, with address, phone and coordinates. The bulk of it, 9,595 locations, comes from the TechNet Professional network, which matters because those are genuinely independent shops rather than corporate stores — the hardest part of this market to reach and the part with local buying authority. The rest is Mavis, Meineke and Monro. Be clear on what this is: the US has roughly 230,000 automotive repair establishments and there is no registry of any kind, so this file is about 8% of that universe and is named for chains and affiliate networks rather than pretending otherwise. It is the reachable, verifiable slice. Parts distributors, tool and equipment suppliers, shop-management software vendors and warranty providers use affiliate-network membership as a qualification signal in its own right.

## The figures

- Records: 18,563 locations (18,561 US)
- States: 52
- Coverage: U.S.
- Fields: 23
- Price: $69 one-time, CSV download, commercial license (https://locationlists.com/license)
- File built on September 14, 2026. Not on an automatic refresh schedule.
- File last modified: 2026-09-14

The file has all 18,563 locations across 52 states in one download. Building the same list by searching one area at a time tends to miss places, and a missed place looks like a gap in coverage that is not really there.

## Questions

### Why only 18,563 when there are 230,000 repair shops?

Because there is no register of independent repair shops anywhere, and most have no enumerable web presence. This is the slice that can be verified: national chains plus the affiliate networks independents join. We would rather sell you 18,563 real, checkable locations than a padded list assembled from map scrapes.

### What is TechNet and why is it most of the file?

It is an affiliate program independent shops join through their parts distributor. Membership means the shop is established enough to carry a national warranty program, which makes it a useful qualifier, and it reaches independents that no chain list contains.

### Why are there no California TechNet shops?

That is real, not a gap in the data. The distribution network behind TechNet is thin in California, so there are genuinely very few member shops there. We checked before shipping it.

### How is this data cleaned?

Every rebuild runs the same steps and counts what each one changed. For the current file, rebuilt September 14, 2026 from technetprofessional.com: Merged 0 duplicate listings that had the same business name, street address and ZIP code, keeping every filled-in detail from both (September 14, 2026). Unified 346 city names written more than one way within the same ZIP code (for example with and without a space or an abbreviation) to the US Census Bureau spelling (September 14, 2026). Corrected 86 misspelled city names to the US Census Bureau place name for their ZIP code (September 14, 2026). Removed the second copy of 1 street addresses that were typed twice in the same field (September 14, 2026). Restored the leading zero on 515 ZIP codes that had lost it (September 14, 2026). Added map coordinates to 7,726 listings that had none, from the US Census Bureau address geocoder or, where the street address could not be matched, the centre of the ZIP code (September 14, 2026). Set the county and its federal county code on 18,554 listings, matched to the US Census Bureau county list from the county the source records, the listing's map point, or its ZIP code area (September 14, 2026). Checked every map point against the state in its address and re-placed 14 points that fell outside that state (September 14, 2026). Flagged 261 addresses that are incomplete, a PO box, or missing a house number, in an address quality column (September 14, 2026). Checked that the row count, state count and field completeness published for this file were measured from the file itself (September 14, 2026).

### Isn't this free on technetprofessional.com?

The underlying records are public on technetprofessional.com. What you pay for is the work between that public release and this file: unified 346 city spellings, corrected 86 misspelled city names, fixed 1 doubled addresses, restored 515 ZIP codes, added coordinates to 7,726 listings, added the county to 18,554 listings, re-placed 14 misplaced map points, flagged 261 incomplete addresses and measured 18,563 rows. The current file was rebuilt September 14, 2026 from technetprofessional.com. Doing it yourself means downloading the full release, repeating each of those steps, and repeating them again every time the source updates.

### How complete is each field?

Measured on every row of the current file, the share of rows that carry each key field: phone 100%, website 65%, street address 100%, city 100%, state 100%, ZIP code 100%, latitude 100%, longitude 100%. 21 of 23 columns are filled on at least half the rows.
